Ever wondered what's actually behind those beautiful buildings in the heart of Cape Town? This 2-hour walking tour takes you through the stories, the history, and the hidden gems that most visitors walk straight past.
Starting at the iconic Company's Garden, one of the oldest gardens in South Africa, we'll wander through centuries of Cape Town history, from the early Dutch settlers to the struggles of apartheid and everything in between. We'll take in the grand facades of Parliament, the haunting history of the Slave Lodge, the magnificent St George's Cathedral, and the stories behind the statues that line the paths.
From there we head up Wale Street, where the colourful, cobblestoned Bo-Kaap comes into view, one of Cape Town's most beloved neighbourhoods. We'll soak up the history of the Cape Malay community and finish off with a taste of traditional Cape Malay snacks before heading back through the city.
No rushing, no headsets, no boring lectures. Just a local who genuinely loves this city, sharing it with you the way it deserves to be shared.
